The Rocketship Earth Foundation

Proudly Presents

Terence Arthur Lipman, 74, survived by his wife Donna, daughter Nancy and son Samuel. Terry was an extremely caring, loved human being who was truly super human. Born in Leigh-on-Sea in Essex, England 1935, Terry moved to Australia in his mid twenties to become one of the nation’s most accomplished and driven insurance brokers. After a near-death experience, and a later chance meeting with John Denver, Terry changed careers and moved to Aspen Colorado. Here, during the valuable work with John on his Windstar Global Symposium series, Terry met his wife Donna and settled down in Austin TX in 1991, where sadly, he passed unexpectedly but peacefully, in his sleep at 1.10am Tuesday June 2, from heart failure.

My darling HB1, I loved the way you loved me.  You were always the love of my life and I am grateful for the time we shared on our journey together.  Sleep well, my love, and I’ll see you in a minute.  I am forever your HB2.

Dad, if only i had one more chance to say i love you, if only i had one more chance to hug you and kiss you, if only if only.... I am deeply sad... i have so much respect and love for you. Your daughter truly loves you so much. i will hold you in my heart forever.. you will always be with me. For every true lesson I have learnt and for the magnificent life I have, i have you to thank.....graciously you are gone. X

Dad I am very proud to be your son, and grateful to have had such an extraordinary father. I’m very sorry that we couldn’t play that last game of golf. I love what a great man you were, the unique values I learnt from you. I will continue to cherish your memory, and carry our torch for the rest of my life.

Terry was a superb husband and father, a gifted entrepreneur who could create magic from nothing.  Wherever life led, he was a connector of people, able to make everyone feel important. He will be remembered for his love of and contributions to the local film world, his Men’s Group, (The Martians,) love of music, and his unmatched ability to light people up. After a difficult childhood hiding from bomb blasts in war-torn London, separated from family at 12, the last 20 years of his life have been wonderfully happy, and he was very grateful for the rich circle of friends he has cultivated throughout the planet.

G’day Terry, and thanks for the great times. We love you very much.

In lieu of flowers, please consider sending a donation in fulfillment of Terry’s dream to complete his documentary, “What One Man Can Do”. Please make contributions payable to The Rocketshipearth Foundation at 602 Cliff Drive, Austin, TX, 78704.

Visitation for friends and family will be held at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home on South Congress this Sunday June 6th from 11am until 2pm.
Memorial will take place at the home of Dawn and Scott Antcliff on Sunday June 21st at 11am. See Facebook for details.
